Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries with precision and timeliness
Review and approve team member journal entries for accuracy and completeness
Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly financial statements
Review bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Execute accounts payable functions including vendor setup and W-9 management
Manage accounts receivable and collections activities, including tenant collection efforts
Assist with annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations
Support annual budget preparation and forecasting processes
Prepare 1099 forms for year-end reporting
Cross-train on various accounting functions to enhance team efficiency
Support special projects and ad hoc reporting requests
Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and fundamentals
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Superior attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred
Experience with MRI, Sage 300, Spreadsheet Server, or Bottomline systems
Background in real estate and/or construction industry accounting
CPA candidate or pursuing professional certification
Experience with property management accounting and CAM reconciliations
