Responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial modeling applications for clients
Work closely with the client's finance team to understand their needs and translate them into functional software
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
Collaborate with internal client teams and vendors to fix and improve products
Develop and maintain in‑house R packages and shiny applications
Implement best practices in development workflow and version control
Qualification
Required
Bachelor (must-have), Master (preferred), or Ph.D. (a plus) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related fields
Minimum of 5 years related experience
Technical skill requirements: Modeling Algorithms, Predictive Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Visualizations, ETL R, Shiny Apps, R Studio & Connect, SQL, Python, Bash, Github
This hybrid position (DMV preferred) requires the ability to go into the office 2-3 days per week and work effectively from a home office — even in an environment with moderate background noise
Preferred
Master (preferred), or Ph.D. (a plus) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related fields
AWS experience is a plus
Financial service industry experience is a plus
