Responsibilities

Supervisor and mentor screens assignments and gives directions to routine work
Receives close supervision on new assignments
All work is closely reviewed by others
Using prescribed methods, performs specific and daily assignments of a beginning engineer
Applies standard practices and techniques in situations, adjusts and gathers data, and follows operations through a series of related steps or processes, including but not limited to:
Eventual proficiency expected in the use of computers for design and CAD
Input of data into pre-written computer
Operate computer and run reports or
Participate in on-site or field activities with
Pick-up redlines from supervising engineers
Review existing drawings on the computer for design and CAD applications to determine existing
Design portions of a project under
Research, specify, and recommend equipment under supervision
Prepare design drawings and
Perform technical analysis under
Review shop drawings and RFI’s under
Actively pursue assignments when light on work assignments
Understand hours assigned to task and meet or exceed expectations
Self-check own work to limit amount of redlines required by supervising engineer for careless errors
Actively seek guidance from supervising engineer when working on tasks and require additional direction, do not guess
Know when you need to ask questions – the more questions the better
Receive technical feedback from supervising engineer in a positive and professional manner as the process is necessary for your professional development
Organize and maintain project
Maintain neat and organized work area which allows efficient access to information required by other team
Attend in-house seminars and educational opportunities outside of the office
Participate in technical and professional
Other duties as necessary and

Required

0-3 years professional experience
Bachelor's degree within an engineering discipline
Must be able to travel to work-sites as needed

Preferred

Completion of the EIT exam is preferred
