Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and ensuring accuracy

Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and record any issues

Sort, label, and distribute received goods to appropriate departments or storage locations

Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping requirements

Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of shipments

Generate shipping documents, such as bills of lading and packing slips, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations

Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs

Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

Monitor inventory levels and communicate inventory shortages or excesses to management

Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure efficient utilization of space

Implement and maintain proper storage techniques to safeguard inventory integrity

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations

Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure product integrity

Report any quality issues or discrepancies to appropriate personnel for resolution

Collaborate with internal departments, including purchasing, sales, and customer service, to coordinate shipping and receiving activities

Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve shipment-related inquiries or issues
