Team Hornet Systems Engineer

New Directions Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced system engineer for the F/A-18 Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support product development and integration activities. The role involves conducting requirements analysis, contributing to design reviews, and performing system data analysis while ensuring the delivery of accredited capabilities to the fleet.

Responsibilities

Conduct requirements analysis
Contribute to design reviews
Design and execute system evaluation procedures for laboratory and flight integration events
Characterize and document anomalies
Troubleshoot and verify system and subsystem anomalies
Perform system data analysis
Document integration activities throughout the life-cycle of the product in a Science and Technology (S&T) environment
Provide engineering disciplines to the product deliverables
Technical Requirements Decomposition
Interface Control Document implementation
Test and Evaluation test generation and execution
Project planning and coordination of RF subsystems into an integrated communications system
Communicate and coordinate regarding project status with various technical team members and leadership
Develop plans and present data to project team members and leadership regarding program status and technical aspects
Provide engineering analysis, recommendations, and solutions for complex challenges during system design and anomaly corrections
Represent anomalies and pursue remedies through the Document Change Request Board (DCRB) process
Work with project officers to ensure an intuitive pilot vehicle interface

Required

U.S. Citizenship is required
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 2-year minimal experience required
Strong communication skills necessary to effectively coordinate integration and certification activities across multiple engineering disciplines and support organizations
Experience with requirements decomposition and system architect design
Travel is required

Preferred

Ability to work both independently and with a team
Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively (written/oral)
