Responsibilities
Observing the completion of projects in accordance with the drawings and specifications
Daily field reporting
Tracking contractor's installed quantities
Witnessing tests
Documenting test results
Serving as liaison between engineer, contractor, and adjacent residents and businesses
Conducting construction inspection, Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control inspection, materials sampling/testing, and project administration
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
At least five (5) years of progressive experience in utility infrastructure projects
Specific technical certifications, or the ability to obtain such specific certifications as soon as the training opportunity is available
Must possess and maintain a Class D driver's license valid to operate vehicles in the State of Tennessee
The ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, such as the general public, local businesses, property owners, contractors, and our clients
Occasional overnight travel may be required
This position will work in the Knoxville and surrounding east Tennessee region
