Responsibilities
Lead the strategy and execution of supplier readiness, performance, and continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and complex engineered components
Refine and drive supplier qualification, audits, and incoming quality systems in close partnership with our Contract Manufacturers, Supply Chain, and Engineering
Oversee the development and implementation of APQP deliverables—including PPAP, FAI, and process validation—while ensuring suppliers meet evolving technical and operational requirements
Guide root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and capability improvements that reduce variability and strengthen process control
Grow and mentor a high-performing Supplier Quality team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related
7+ years in Supplier Quality Management, preferably customer facing and in clean energy, manufacturing or hardware organizations (industrial and/or automotive a plus)
Proven success bringing suppliers from prototype-support mode into stable, high-volume production
Strong background in process control, APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and root-cause analysis
The position will require up to 20% travel to supplier sites
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
You are highly organized, detail oriented, communicative, and you know what operational excellence looks like because you have seen it first hand
You possess a healthy customer obsession because you learned that delivering results to them is key to success
You can thrive in structured and unstructured environments and are not dissuaded at the prospect of making hard decisions about what is important and urgent against a backdrop of limited resources
Numbers and details are your best 'friends' because you learned that when you pay attention to them you drive improvement and reduce risk
You relentlessly seek balance between quality and speed of execution no matter how tough a situation is because you know that you can't compromise either
Preferred
Six Sigma, Lean, or ASQ Certification and trainings are preferred
