Responsibilities
Supervisor and mentor screens assignments and gives directions to routine work
Receives close supervision on new assignments
All work is closely reviewed by others
Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected
Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects
Works alongside project engineers and Project Managers
May not exceed budgeted hours on task, change the scope of work or deviate from any part of the contractual document without approval of Project Manager or Group Leader
Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope
Performs work, which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of related specialties
Proficient use of computer spreadsheets and design programs for engineering analysis and equipment
Assists in the preparation of proposals in a timely manner and submits to the client
Participates in presentations
Provides scope, schedule, and cost
Assign duties and schedules to team

Initiate additional service requests and turn over to Project Manager for submittal to
Produce sketches and system schematics for complicated design
Recognize problems quickly and provides

Qualification
Required
8 - 11 years professional experience
Bachelor's degree in an engineering
Professional Registration is strongly desired
Must be able to travel to work-sites as needed
Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained Engineer who is capable of working on extremely complex projects
Must be able to communicate verbal and written instructions/directions to the project
Must be at least a member and on a committee of (1) trade specific organization (ASHRAE, ASPE, AIA, etc)
Must be ready to deliver at least (1) existing prepared AIA credit presentation, white paper or article per year
