Responsibilities

Conduct appraisals from photos and assess/ negotiate additional repairs with body shops to ensure fair costs
Develop and maintain relationships with body shops
Document estimate summaries in the claims reporting system
Redline and adjust estimates accordingly
Ensure prompt and timely estimate resolution according to company goals and guidelines
Evaluate totaled vehicles per company guidelines
Handle special projects as needed
Adhere to compliance training to meet state and federal laws
Keep up with new repair techniques, tools, and industry innovations
Hold and maintain required licenses

Qualification

P&C insurance experienceAppraisal experienceRepair techniques knowledgeTotal loss techniquesRelationship managementCompliance knowledgeNegotiation skillsDocumentation skills

Required

5 years of P&C insurance background with at least 3 years of appraisal experience
Significant knowledge of repair and total loss techniques and statutory requirements are necessary
