Computer Engineer II (Contingent)
Centurum is a company providing engineering support for the U.S. Navy’s combat systems. The Computer Engineer II role involves full life cycle support, including design, development, testing, and implementation of computer hardware and software systems to enhance operational readiness.

Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software systems
Design and evaluate components such as chips, circuit boards, and peripheral equipment
Oversee manufacturing and installation of computer hardware and related systems
Develop and implement software systems for control of digital devices and Navy systems
Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics to software design and evaluation
Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional software solutions
Develop software for operating systems, network distribution, and compilers
Troubleshoot and resolve software-related technical issues
Focus on algorithm development and advanced problem-solving
Utilize programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and occasionally Fortran or COBOL
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks
Preferred
Experience supporting Navy programs
Familiarity with Navy combat systems and lifecycle support
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
