Responsibilities

Disassemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders according to work instructions, diagrams, and specifications
Safely remove rods, pistons, seals, and other components using proper tools and techniques
Clean, organize, and prepare parts for inspection, repair, or reassembly
Clearly mark all cylinder components with appropriate and relevant job number
Inspect cylinder components for wear, damage, or defects and report findings to supervisors or quality personnel
Identify parts that can be reused, repaired, or replaced
Maintain accurate records of disassembly work performed
Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area
Collaborate with assembly, machining, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to prioritize jobs
Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
Mechanical background
Ability to read basic blueprints
Able to read a tape measure and calipers
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Attention to detail is critical
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
Mechanically inclined
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to read tape measures

Preferred

Prior heavy assembly experience a plus
