Post-Doctoral Associate
The University of Miami is seeking a full-time Post Doctoral Associate to work in the Department of OBYGN. This role involves conducting scientific research, preparing reports for publication, and collaborating with other scientists, while promoting institutional recognition through contributions to the scientific community.

Responsibilities
Conducts research on specific areas of study as assigned
Prepares research reports and technical papers for publishing
Investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories
Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories
Develops advanced analytical models and systems and provides solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
Perform complex laboratory assignments, including the planning and conducting of projects related to cell culture and molecular biology. Schedule and perform experiments in research laboratory
Solve problems in scientific and technical execution, interpret experimental data and maintain accurate records. May need to develop, adapt and implement new lab procedures
Perform complex and routine molecular biology procedures including flow cytometric analysis, PCR, RT-PCR, Q-PCR, and Western blotting, DNA/RNA extraction, recombinant protein and isolation and purification, transfection, and aptamer isolation, conduct multi-omics (scRNA/ATAC/scDNA-seq) projects
Assist in the preparation of data and figures for manuscripts and for scientific presentations using Power Point, R/Python and other graphics software as needed
Search literature for references to technical problems and keep informed by reading technical journal and publications
Present data in laboratory meetings and other venues
Collaborate with Scientists and clinicians in international low-resource settings
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in relevant field
No prior experience required
Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions
Perform complex laboratory assignments, including the planning and conducting of projects related to cell culture and molecular biology
Solve problems in scientific and technical execution, interpret experimental data and maintain accurate records
