TACTAIR FLUID CONTROLS INC is a manufacturer specializing in hydraulic and pneumatic controls for the aerospace and energy markets. The Product Designer will develop product concepts into manufacturing documentation using CAD tools, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards while collaborating on design reviews and prototype builds.

Responsibilities

Perform part and assembly 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor

Create engineering drawings of parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor

Illustrate design intent through the proper application of datum's, feature definitions, tolerances, etc

Create preliminary design drawings and sketches for communication in design reviews

Apply GD&T fundamentals based on ASME Y14.5M-2009 standard

Calculate and apply tolerances for fit of all assembly components, including all necessary tolerance stacks

Create Bills of Material (BOM)

Perform all drawing and BOM changes for Engineering Change Notices

Participate in prototype builds and assembly trials

Other duties as assigned

This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization

Associate's Degree, Mechanical Technology (minimum)

Proven experience in mechanical design

Experience with 3D CAD

Expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

A strong mechanical aptitude

Proven experience managing multiple, simultaneous analysis projects

Experience working within a team environment
