Responsibilities

Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and assist with CAD drawings for geotechnical design work (foundations, piers, beams, posts, etc.)
Review data, drawings, and calculations; prepare technical letters and reports
Occasionally observe field explorations and construction activities
Collaborate with senior engineers, CAD staff, and clients to ensure project success
Adhere to safety policies and complete projects within schedule and budget

Required

B.S. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical or Structural focus)
1+ years of experience in geotechnical or structural engineering
Proficiency in CAD, Excel, Bluebeam, and Word
Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
Valid U.S. driver's license
Ability to travel and perform field work in varying conditions
Ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 25-50 pounds
Ability to walk construction job sites
Good hand-eye coordination, good eye-sight, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data
Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related errands or to attend meetings may be required
Must have valid license to operate a motor vehicle
Attend meetings and interviews
