Research & Insights Manager
AbleNet, Inc. is seeking a Research & Insights Manager to lead the research strategy that enhances their products and services. The role focuses on building partnerships, measuring outcomes, and translating complex data into actionable insights to inform product development and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a multi-year research and insights strategy aligned with the QuickTalker Freestyle vision
Lead studies that measure communication outcomes, family confidence, and therapist engagement across the ableEXPERIENCE and beyond
Partner with universities, research institutions, and clinical partners to conduct longitudinal and outcome-based research
Build and manage a small internal team or external research vendors to execute studies efficiently and with methodological rigor
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership, product, and marketing teams
Design dashboards and reporting frameworks that track device usage, program engagement, and success metrics
Apply quantitative and qualitative methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, longitudinal studies) to understand both the measurable and emotional outcomes for families and SLPs
Partner with Product Management to inform product roadmap priorities
Work with Marketing to translate research into stories that inspire families and SLPs
Collaborate with Compliance and Quality to ensure all studies meet ethical, privacy, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, FDA)
Communicate research findings through executive briefings, infographics, white papers, and conference presentations
Serve as the internal and external voice of research credibility for QuickTalker Freestyle
Contribute to publications, webinars, and presentations that advance the field of AAC outcomes research
All other duties as assigned by manager
Qualification
Required
Masters or Ph.D. in a relevant field (Communication Sciences, Psychology, Speech-language Pathology, Data Science, or similar)
5+ years of experience in customer research, outcomes measurement, or data insights product management or product marketing, preferably healthcare, medical devices, or assistive technology
Strong background in study design, statistics, and applied behavioral or communication research
Proven ability to translate data into insights that drive business and user impact
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a talent for storytelling
Collaborative team player, able to work across product, support, and marketing functions
Empathy and ability to engage with families, SLPS, and individuals with communication impairments
Salesforce CRM experience
Proficient in online survey tools, Excel and advanced data analysis tools, and PowerPoint and Word for presenting findings
Preferred
Experience working with HIPAA-compliant research, and family- or clinician-based participant groups
Background as a practicing speech-language pathologist
