Responsibilities

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following all protocols and participating in safety programs
Develop and implement strategies to expand demand, improve growth, and extend partnerships with key accounts
Collaborate with the sales team to optimize opportunity management and drive momentum on major opportunities
Establish trust and mutually beneficial long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs
Manage direct relationships with strategic accounts, including contract negotiations, pricing, and volumes
Collect market insights to define and deliver compelling value propositions
Build internal networks to deliver optimal solutions, leading cross-functional collaboration
Propose new sales ideas to advance Phileo's business with premixers and distributors
Maintain contracts, provide sales reports, and build relationships with key influencers at strategic accounts
Represent Phileo at industry events and maintain communication with sales teams to enhance market understanding
Contribute to forecasting, inventory management, and pricing strategies to support business objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in animal science, Agriculture, or related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in the animal health/nutrition industry with proven success in sales, business development, and strategic account management
Experience with technical sales, able to provide technical support to farms, nutritionists, and veterinarians
Strong knowledge of animal nutrition and health
Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce)
Ability to read and interpret written communications, instructions, and technical information
Travel up to 60-70% for meetings, trade shows, and face-face sales meetings within the United States and Canada

Preferred

Proficiency in a second language (Spanish or French) is preferred but not required
