Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports the company's short-term and long-term business goals, including growth, profitability, and customer service objectives
Analyze market trends, customer demands, competitor activities, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and innovation
Mitigate potential supply chain risks
Oversee and optimize all aspects of global sourcing and supplier quality
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices within the supply chain, including sustainability, safety, and ethical standards
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, including global category managers, global and regional supplier quality managers/engineers, regional sourcing managers, analysts, and specialists
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration
Promote knowledge sharing, cross-training, and interdepartmental collaboration to improve supply chain agility
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, finance, logistics) to align supply chain activities with the organization's overall business strategy
Plan for future supply chain needs based on market projections, sales forecasts, and business growth plans, ensuring the supply chain can accommodate changes in demand and capacity
Identify, assess, and manage supply chain risks, such as disruptions, shortages, cost fluctuations, and geopolitical risks, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize their impact
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor supply chain performance, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and optimization
Implement and manage supply chain technologies, software, and tools (e.g., historical buy and pricing, ERP systems) to enhance visibility, efficiency, and decision-making
Analyze supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, supplier PPM, to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable service
Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for the supply chain team, providing coaching, training, and opportunities for advancement
Implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and engage top supply chain talent, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise
Serve as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, providing insights and recommendations to drive the organization's success
Regular attendance at work is a necessary function of the role

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field
Minimum of 15 years of progressive management experience in supply chain management and/or operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Experience managing multi-national teams
Proven record of accomplishment in building and developing high-performing teams
Ability to lead and optimize complex supply chain operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to drive decision-making
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
Proficient in the use of supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools
Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in supply chain management
Ability to think strategically, identify and mitigate risks, and align the supply chain with the organization's business objectives
Strong project management and change management skills, with the ability to lead and implement process improvements
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean)

Preferred

Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management)
