Responsibilities
Execute special projects assigned by Engineering, Quality, or OpEx leadership
Analyze production data, scrap issues, test logs, and productivity metrics; recommend corrective actions and improvement ideas
Develop and maintain assembly procedures, operational sheets, and work instructions
Perform basic mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance as directed
Support lean initiatives, including Kaizen events, 5S, and waste reduction projects
Initiate and create production procedures, including SOPs
Evaluate parts/components using quality control methods and equipment
Compile and print dispatch reports; determine bill of materials for assembly analysis
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately
Train and assist team members on manufacturing processes and lean practices
Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; alternatively, an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
Knowledge of basic electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to set up and operate a variety of assembly and test equipment within the prescribed procedures and standards
Ability to teach and train others as needed
Familiarity with lean tools and techniques (e.g., 5S, value stream mapping)
Developing procedures and work instructions
Team-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills
