Responsibilities
Manages, plans, develops, schedules, coordinates and promotes recycling, reuse, reduce, composting, zero waste principles and practices, litter prevention, water services, and environmental sustainability education events and activities
Works with community groups, schools, governments, businesses, and other organizations to coordinate these activities
Designs, develops and prepares materials; oversees preparation, implementation, and communication for each event
Initiates contact with interested parties, writes program policies and procedures for recycling, reuse, reduce, composting, waste reduction, litter prevention, water services and environmental sustainability education, and other community projects
Assists other Program Specialists and Community Outreach and Education Administrator with program scheduling, coordinating, preparing materials and promoting various events and activities related to recycling, reuse, reduce, composting, zero waste, litter prevention, water services, and sustainability
Qualification
Required
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Environmental Studies, Education or Public Relations; OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the minimum class requirements
Must maintain a current, valid United States driver's license with an acceptable driving record
