Responsibilities
Maintain all components associated with the efficient operation of assigned substations and distribution system equipment, both energized and de-energized
Perform shop testing and disposal of transformers
Repair and testing of re-closers, pad mount switchgear, voltage regulators and capacitors
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Apprenticeship Program or a minimum of 5 years' work experience as a Journeyman with a trade school certification
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Strong understanding of industry-specific knowledge (e.g., utility operations, electrical systems, renewable energy technologies)
Familiarity with applicable OSHA safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred
Prior experience in Electric Cooperative communications
