Field Technician-Water Solutions

The Field Technician-Water Solutions is expected to perform a variety of routine and complex tasks including fluids unloading, equipment maintenance, and providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
Off-load a high volume of water trucks daily
Develop understanding of the operation of all equipment on assigned routes or facilities
Measure and record truck, and pipeline volumes. Ensure accuracy of data received and entered
Maintain daily contact with co-workers and clients to maintain close working relationships and to ensure the reliability of Tallgrass infrastructure is always intact
Monitor contract compliance to ensure that facilities are performing satisfactorily, and that contract and regulatory requirements are adhered to
Monitor day-to-day operations, safety, environmental compliance, and quality as directed by Tallgrass Management. Responsible for various daily reporting requirements
Reporting volumes and key facility operating parameters at shift change and to all related personnel
Identify production related issues and learn appropriate solutions under supervision while consulting with the appropriate Tallgrass personnel
Follow preventative maintenance plan and all system integrity testing
Execute routine repairs and maintenance on all equipment. Communicate corrective maintenance needs if unable to complete on own
Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism
Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone
Maintain a regular attendance and consistently perform at a high level
Will work non-traditional hours as needed
Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the public
Perform any other tasks assigned to support overall company operations

Qualification
Required
High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience is required
Work experience can be used in lieu of education
Should have at least six (6) months of experience in Water Related Oilfield Services
Should have understanding and experience with water related projects — sourcing, pipelines, treatment, and disposal
Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
Promote continuous safety culture
Knowledge and understanding of industry standards and best practices
Apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine tasks
Willingness to learn company specific applications
Written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
Actively participate in teams and collaborate for improved performance
Must possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment
Ability to organize and prioritize daily work
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Ability to lift and carry up to 32 pounds for tasks such as handling filters, tools, and cases of water up to 300 feet
Capable of pushing forces up to 59.7 pounds of force for equipment like garage doors and skimming hatches
Able to pull with a force of approximately 60 pounds when operating equipment such as rock baskets
Frequent manual material handling involving bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, and kneeling to access equipment and perform tasks
Must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs/ladders, and ascend/descend for extended periods during field operations
Reach overhead, at shoulder, waist, knee, and floor levels, with fine motor movements and grasping/pinching capabilities
Ability to perform whole body movements such as twisting, pivoting, lateral flexion, and exerting rotational force
Capable of working in environmental conditions involving exposure to hot, cold, wet, and vibrating environments, along with loud noise
Varying working conditions from office settings to working outdoors in inclement weather conditions
Working with and around industrial hazards
Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours
This is an on-call position
Hitch-7/7, 12-hour night shifts and will receive overtime
The selected candidate must successfully pass a drug screening, background check, and fit-for-duty examination, including credit reports for specific positions—after receiving a job offer and before commencing employment
Preferred
Working understanding and knowledge of SWD (saltwater disposal) and associated equipment
1+ years of SWD operating experience
