New Grad, Entry LevelThe Hershey Company is seeking a Technician QRC to monitor product quality through analytical testing. The role involves performing wet chemistry techniques and chemical analyses, operating lab equipment, and maintaining data records.

Responsibilities
Monitor ingredient, in-process or finished product quality through analytical testing
Perform simple to moderately complex wet chemistry techniques (sample preparation, extraction and analysis)
Perform moderately complex chemical analyses using analytical equipment
Operate, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation
Prepare standards and controls
Record, compute and evaluate data as well as data input into LIMS
Prepare tables and graphs of data as appropriate
Work under direction of a professional staff member
Qualification
Required
Be comfortable operating/maintaining lab equipment and working with chemicals
Good mathematical skills
Demonstrated ability to use relational databases
Demonstrated ability with word processing (MSWord) and spreadsheets (EXCEL)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize, track and plan
Attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and independently in a flexible work environment with changing priorities and deadlines
Able to periodically accommodate unusual work hours and work overtime as needed on occasion
Preferred
Knowledge of LIMS is a plus
B.S. in Chemistry (preferred) or related science field
