Responsibilities
Partners with Finance and Accounting leadership to translate business objectives into system strategies that improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight across financial operations
Manages the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise financial systems, including ERP, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and capital management platforms
Leads cross-functional collaboration between Finance, IT, Tax, Procurement, and Operations to ensure integrated and compliant workflows that support financial reporting and audit readiness
Serves as a people leader who mentors, develops, and empowers team members to achieve high performance, collaboration, and professional growth
Implements data governance and control frameworks that ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal audit standards
Leverages automation, AI, and analytics tools to streamline transactional processes and enable predictive forecasting and financial planning
Oversees vendor partnerships and system roadmaps to ensure scalability, functionality, and alignment with Empower’s digital transformation objectives
Develops and mentors a team of financial systems analysts and functional experts, promoting continuous improvement, process ownership, and platform adoption
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of experience with finance and accounting systems, including ERP and/or related technologies, and at least 5 years managing a team supporting these environments
Proven experience implementing or administering ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle Financials, SAP) and financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline required
Strong understanding of financial operations and controls, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, cost accounting, and financial consolidation
Proven ability to lead with empathy, accountability, and vision, fostering a culture of engagement, inclusion, and continuous development across cross-functional teams
Demonstrated success in automating finance processes and integrating cross-functional systems to enhance speed, accuracy, and transparency in reporting
Knowledge of accounting standards, audit requirements, and regulatory frameworks impacting corporate finance and financial systems
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to partner across technical and non-technical teams
