BDO USA is seeking a Valuation & Capital Market Analysis Associate to join their team. The Associate will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing financial statements, and assisting in the construction of valuation models to support client needs.

Responsibilities

Performs company, industry, and economic research
Performs benchmark analyses and assists with analytical tasks and projects
Analyzes financial statements
Constructs valuation models
Assesses operational profitability and financial conditions
Develops and reviews cash flow forecasts
Navigates public company databases and filings
Documents and ensures quality control of work product for assigned clients
Composes appropriate narrative reports to support valuation analyses
Develops exhibits and memos to illustrate complex issue
Assists with project preparation and delivery
Participates in external and internal client meetings
Other duties as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Finance OR an MBA degree
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex issues
Intermediate or higher spreadsheet understanding and computer adaptability
Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data
Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels

Preferred

Experience (internship or work study) in valuation, corporate finance, or accounting environment
