1+ years expFamily of Kidz is hiring and has immediate openings for Special Educators in their Resource Room. The role involves providing direct instruction and developing individualized lesson plans to support students with special needs, ensuring alignment with their IEP goals.

Responsibilities
Provide direct, small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to student needs
Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to support diverse learners
Review, understand, and implement each student’s IEP mandates
Collect ongoing progress data and prepare quarterly progress reports
Maintain accurate session notes and submit documentation within required timelines
Communicate regularly with general education teachers regarding student needs, accommodations, and classroom strategies
Participate in CSE/IEP meetings as needed
Maintain professional communication with families, school administrators, and related service providers
Create a structured, supportive learning environment
Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom routines
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data
Qualification
Required
NYS Students with Disabilities Certification K-6, 7-12 ( NYS SWD All Grades or Permanent Preferred)
Passionate about working with children and their families
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to collaborate with various professionals
Self-starter and independent problem solver
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Sterling values, high integrity, empathetic and considerate
Ability to function well in a high-paced and dynamic environment
Flexible thinker with the ability to pivot when necessary
Must be a team-player
Preferred
Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families preferred
Bilingual is a plus
