The role involves assisting the Controller with various accounting, financial, administrative, and operational functions to ensure a seamless day-to-day accounting process.

Responsibilities
Administer AP/AR, payroll, cash management, daily bank deposits, customer collections, and reconciliations, as instructed
Collaborate with the Controller to develop budgets, financial forecasts, and analyze variances
Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and yearly financial statements
In conjunction with the Controller, prepare year-end financial closeout and procedures
Provide accurate maintenance of the company’s general ledger
Maintain office supplies and assist with coordination of meetings and events
Support human resources functions including benefits administration, files, and other tasks as directed
Qualification
Required
Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
Familiarity with finance regulations
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to work with others
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
