Responsibilities

Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects
Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, to approved scope, budget, and schedule
Perform technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards
Serve as a point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in the Western and Upstate New York Area
Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development
Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such
Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts, including technical and cost pricing
Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering
This position requires travel within New York and nearby states
The selected candidate must be available to work in Buffalo, NY on a scheduled basis

Required

BS/BA degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping, and collection systems
Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 1 year
Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

Preferred

10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management
Experience leading scope, technical approach, and pricing efforts for business development activities
Experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems, and client relations
Experience leading client and public presentations
Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team
Experience leading design build/alternate delivery projects
