They are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform a variety of routine and non-routine assignments to ensure timely and accurate testing is performed at their Environmental Testing Laboratory.

Responsibilities
Receive samples at the laboratory
Inspect Chains of Custody and associated documentation for accuracy and completion
Log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System
Prepare sample bottles and testing kits for pickup, delivery, or shipment
Package samples for subcontracting and shipment
Operate under the supervision of a senior Department Supervisor
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of laboratory safety
0-2 years' experience in a testing related field
Basic understanding of testing concepts
Possess computer skills
Able to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal
Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
Preferred
HS diploma or GED certificate preferred
College or vocational school coursework welcomed
