Senior Government Relations Advisor (Seattle)
Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP is currently seeking a federal Government Relations Advisor to join their Government Relations and Regulatory team. The role involves providing Washington State government relations and regulatory services to clients across various sectors, including developing initiatives and coordinating with legislative members.

Responsibilities
Developing and managing client government relations initiatives
Drafting memorandum, policy briefs, letters, talking points, and other materials for clients
Communicating, coordinating, and attending meetings with members of the Washington State Legislature as well as other political events
Assuming other legislative functions in support of clients
Working with our firm’s government relations team on multi-state and federal advocacy initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of 10 years' experience in State government, Tribal government, campaign or political fields, or other related fields
Strong understanding of the political and legislative process
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Native American, Agriculture and/or fish and wildlife policy
Tax Policy: In-depth understanding of state budget and tax policy, implementation, and analysis
Energy Sector: Expertise in policy, legislative drafting, and regulation on energy issues
Washington State Grants: Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, managing, implementing, applying for and/or selecting state grants, funding and/or cooperative agreements
