SIOP Project Manager & Installation Readiness Lead

The SIOP Project Manager & Installation Readiness Lead is responsible for overseeing the entire order lifecycle, ensuring readiness for installation, and maintaining schedule adherence across multiple departments.

Responsibilities
Own each order from Gate 1 → Gate 8
Maintain the Order Book and master Gantt schedule
Track milestone completion and enforce gate lock discipline
Drive daily/weekly follow-up across Scheduling, Engineering, Inventory, Install, Production, and Customer Care
Escalate risks early and ensure OPD (Original Promise Date) integrity
Create and maintain the official Installation Worksheet for every order
Translate customer specifications, PO details, bid sheets, and configuration notes into a controlled document
Ensure Engineering, Install, Scheduling, and Production use the worksheet as the single source of truth
Control versions in SharePoint with proper approval and audit trail
Ensure worksheet is fully complete before Engineering Release and before Clear-to-Build
Document all changes and route them through SIOP Change Control
Conduct weekly install readiness reviews for all units approaching install bays
Validate availability of Tier 1 materials and escalate shortages immediately
Ensure Engineering has completed all drawing updates for custom units
Track steel body lead times and identify risk to install start
Review chassis prep, mounting requirements, accessories, and any custom installation requirements
Maintain an Install Readiness Scorecard across TMC, VSW, Haslet, BrandFX, and other install locations
Align with Install Supervisors on bay sequencing, labor planning, and install priorities
Ensure technical feasibility is validated before the order is accepted
Coordinate preliminary drawings and spec interpretation with Engineering
Confirm the product configuration is buildable and meets customer expectations
Provide Engineering with the completed Installation Worksheet
Validate final drawings, BOM, and routings
Confirm all technical requirements are available prior to Frozen Period entry
Support Engineering change management and ECO implementation
Lead weekly Order Health Review with all functional owners
Update the Order Book, Gantt, and readiness dashboard
Identify gating issues early and drive resolution
Provide daily visibility to SIOP leadership on order status, risks, and progress
Own change-control SOP for all customer and engineering changes
Approve or reject change requests based on: + Gate status + Frozen period rules + CTB impact + Material or engineering constraints
Update all documents (Worksheet, Gantt, Order Book) upon approval
% Orders on-time through each gate

Reduction in rework and installation errors
Frozen period violations (target = zero)

Qualification
Required
Strong manufacturing project management experience
Understanding of BOMs, routings, engineering drawings
Ability to coordinate across multiple sites and departments
High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Familiarity with Epicor, CTB process, Gantt scheduling, and SIOP principles
Strong communication and follow-up discipline
Ability to influence without direct authority
