Supply Logisticians

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent international organization providing medical care globally. The Supply Logistician will manage daily supply activities, oversee warehouse and stock management, and ensure effective communication about supply issues, contributing to the overall success of MSF projects.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the daily supply activities of an MSF project, following standard operating procedures
You will participate in the planning of supply activities, ensure efficient and effective local purchase management
You will be responsible for the warehouse and stock management
You will also communicate with internal and external stakeholders about issues including expired drugs, risk of shortages, stock reports and lead times (pipeline planning etc.)
You will ensure efficient supply administration and implementation of standards supply tools
You will supervise the supply team and make the project team and coordination team aware of supply issues that may have an impact on project planning
You will present monthly reports and provide support (training and coaching) and evaluate staff under your responsibility

Required

Available to work for a minimum of 9 to 12 months on international assignments
Previous experience in a low resource setting (priority given to those with experience working in a humanitarian context)
Minimum of two years professional experience in supply chain management, e.g. needs assessment, order management, purchasing, stock management, freight management, transport and customs, and warehousing
Professional experience supervising, managing, or training staff
Experience with organization and set-up of supply administration and related supply procedures
Familiarity with cold chain maintenance and procedures
Experience with contract writing, budgeting, and reporting
Ability to work within a diverse team

Preferred

French or Arabic language (B2 or above)
Secondary education, desirable warehouse management related studies, procurement, or certificate in clearing and forwarding or related fields
