Electrical Design Engineer
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a world leader in remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. They are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and development of advanced electrical components for unmanned air vehicles.

Responsibilities
Under general supervision with limited review, this position supports the design and development of advanced electrical components, equipment and systems for unmanned air vehicles
Assignments are normally accompanied by general instructions and suggestions, outlining possible approaches, sources or information
Responsible for analog, digital and power conversion circuit design with appropriate analysis and/or CAD modeling
Responsible for control schemes, analog, digital or software, magnetic and electric machine design and/or specification, EMI design, thermal analysis and packaging
Documentation necessary to support production (i.e. test procedures, records, bill of materials, ICD’s, SCD’s, ECO’s and production support) and training
Required to provide field support as needed
Performs other duties as assigned or required
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems
Must have excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one engineering area; and, lead a team of less experienced professional employees on semi-routine tasks
Able to work extended hours as required
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required
