They are seeking a Business Development Manager to support UOB Group Private Bank’s regional expansion in North Asia, responsible for generating high net worth client leads and driving awareness of UOB PB’s value proposition.

Responsibilities

Responsible to generate GPB client leads in their regional markets of coverage (North Asia)
Conceptualise and develop the acquisition strategy and business development plan for their focus regional markets – with a mandate to drive growth of client referrals, account openings, and asset under management (AUM)
Lead the end-to-end planning through execution of all acquisition initiatives within their focus regional markets – including post-activities tracking, and managing return-on-investment (ROI) outcomes
Grow the PB franchise through partnerships and collaborations with both internal UOB Group stakeholders, and external counterparts within the HNW/UHNW ecosystem
Liaise and coordinate with in-country UOB Group stakeholders to drive client acquisition initiatives, mobilise staff engagement activities, and deepen cross-border collaborations
Develop, manage and analyse acquisition pipelines and engagement plans for each prospect to be able to forecast growth and performance targets
Be an ambassador for UOB GPB, representing the bank and showcasing its value proposition at external client or partner’s events, and internal stakeholder engagements
Perform market research and benchmarking, plan acquisition activities and establish referral standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Required

Individual with a strong, established network within their regional market of coverage (North Asia)

Thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment, works independently, and is able to prioritise multiple deliverables to meet timelines efficiently
Strategic thinker, pragmatic executor – able to conceptualise, develop, and deliver strategic initiatives aimed at increasing revenue, improving operational efficiencies and promoting growth
Analytical mindset with strong business acumen – able to proficiently understand, structure and articulate complex business concepts and promote UOB GPB's unique proposition and offerings
Stellar stakeholder management – able competently represent UOB GPB in engagements with senior UOB stakeholders, industry partners, and HNW / UHNW clientele
Excellent presentation skills, including native-level fluency in oral and written Simplified Chinese
Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, business management or any business-adjacent fields
At least 12 years of business development experience within HNW / UHNW sales and acquisition space, with experience in planning and execution of strategic initiatives and client acquisition activities
At least 8 years' experience operating independently in their regional market of coverage (North Asia)– with proven success in sourcing for client leads, and converting prospects
High competency in both MS Powerpoint and Excel

Preferred

Experience working in a Private Banking and/or UHNW environment preferred
Experience in managing individual and corporate clients preferred
