Manager, Dev Ops Engineering

Responsibilities
Manages the configuration of servers, operating systems or AWS environments for performance, recoverability, monitoring and availability
Budgets infrastructure costs and optimizes systems to fit within that available budget
Owns DevOps tools and the associated budgets
Manages team of DevOps Engineers that help build and support key infrastructure
Analyzes available technologies to meet needs, and then define technical specs and designs
Works with stakeholders and manages the creation of test scenarios, testing, and analysis of results
Partners with the engineering team to identify areas that could be better automated through scripts or tooling
Designs simple and cost-effective systems to meet operational and security requirements
Plans and improves the monitoring, logging and alerting of applications and sets thresholds to ensure systems are operating well
Provides support and troubleshooting of prior developed technology solutions and recommends design changes to optimize solutions
Works with global Nintendo to coordinate on infrastructure needs and supporting systems
Helps enable other technical groups at Nintendo to build systems that embody best practices
Qualification
Required
6-8 years of overall, related experience in coding and system design
2+ years of experience managing a technical team focused on delivering infrastructure for highly available systems
Proven track record of architecting and delivering highly scalable infrastructure for eCommerce and/or other related platforms
Experience with cloud services such as AWS's API Gateway, Lambda or EC2
Experience with automation methodologies such as continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD)
Ability to code and script is required. (Python/JavaScript)
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Experience with Docker containers a plus
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation a plus
