Responsibilities
Irrigation- Maintain start- up/ shutdown for all irrigation systems for the calendar year, perform electronic controller checks/ regulate cycle times as weather permits, and repair all irrigation system leaks/ breaks/ and damage. Provide layout/ design/ and budget requests for new installation projects to be reviewed by Manager and coordinate rentals with Vendors/ Lead Technician/ Manager for equipment necessities for all projects. Request additional assistance for all projects requiring additional workloads. Monitor all aspects of irrigation system components at all sites to ensure a safe environment for pedestrians as well as addressing all safety concerns for further inspection and repair
Groundskeeping- Under general supervision, plant, trim, spray, mow, weed, fertilize, sweep, rake, cultivate, dig, water, and shovel materials. Remove snow and ice as well as apply ice melt products. Remove all trash and debris and other related tasks. Perform preventative maintenance and repair on grounds equipment and structures such as garages, drains, and irrigation system
Landscaping- Regularly review CCHMC landscaping for problem areas and make the necessary recommendations and suggestions to improve plant life at our properties. Exhibit proper pruning techniques of trees, shrubs, annuals, and perennials in order to maintain appropriate plant health and aesthetics. Maintain currency in the Horticulture field through continuing education, literature, and seminars. Remain up to date with the use of chemicals and fertilizers used in the landscape industry as well as participate in obtaining Pesticide Applicators License if necessary
Maintain CCHMC grounds as to provide a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, families, and employees
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Participate in obtaining Pesticide Applicators Service License if necessary
Valid driver's license
