Bachelors

Seven (7) Years Work Experience: Development experience in a health care non-profit or comparably complex organization

Three (3) Years of Experience: Generating event fundraising revenue and engaging communities to establish and strengthen high-quality relationships with donors

Five (5) Years of Management Experience: Fundraising leadership and management in a complex organization

Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)

Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking)

Analytical Abilities

Possesses an advanced knowledge and understanding of donor stewardship and relationships, analytical techniques, and development operations

MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, PC, Typing. Office 365 Suite, Teams or other virtual meeting and messaging platform, Donor Perfect or like donor database

Proven track record of successful event fundraising and community engagement

Requires the ability to work with and motivate a broad spectrum of people ranging from staff and trustees to healthcare partners and donor prospects

Demonstrated track record of leadership in a nonprofit environment, including management skills and experience including but not limited to short and long-term planning, evaluation of fundraising programs, directing and motivating staff, oral and written communication skills

The individual is also expected to have demonstrated experience and confidence in asking people to contribute time and money

Understanding and belief in Harris Health's mission and commitment to the role of a public safety net hospital system in the community

Preferred

CFRE

Development experience in a health care non-profit or comparably complex organization preferred including experience with fundraising events and community engagement

Established network in and connectivity to the greater Houston community strongly preferred
