Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of site air, tanks and waste water to ensure compliance with environmental regulations (air, water, waste, hazardous materials)

Review & evaluate environmental permit applications, compliance reports, and monitoring data

Assist in the preparation and enforcement of compliance orders, notices of violation, & corrective action plans

Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental samples (soil, air, water, waste)

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in supporting field of study

2+ years experience in industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, municipalities, or regulatory agencies (EPA, TCEQ)

Implement local, state, & federal environmental programs (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA)

Develop & maintain documentation and records for program audits and regulatory reporting

Provide technical support in the development of environmental policies, guidance documents, and standard operating procedures

Participate in environmental impact assessment (EIA's) and reviews of proposed projects

Prepare or review environmental assessments, site evaluations, and technical studies

Recommend mitigation measures for projects with potential environmental impacts

Mentor junior staff or assist in training employees

Strong written and verbal communication skills
