Responsibilities
Directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates economic and community development activities and projects
Assisting internal and external customers and organizations
Serving as primary point of contact for development activities and projects
Coordinating activities and projects with County departments and outside agencies
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
Four years of paid full-time experience performing city, county or regional land use planning or project management; economic development; redevelopment; business development; private development; district formation; or a closely related field
Possession of a valid California Driver License, Class C or higher, may be required at the time of appointment
Criminal History and Background Checks: The County may access criminal history information on candidates who have accepted a conditional offer of appointment for this class consistent with the provisions of Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 82-602, Personnel Policies, and applicable federal and state laws
The County may also conduct a background check on the candidate prior to appointment to a position within this class
Positions in this class require the incumbents to be able to sit for extended periods, frequently stand and walk
Have manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination, to be able to use a variety of office equipment such as computers, telephones, calculators, copiers, and related equipment
Have corrected vision in order to perform essential functions of the job
Occasionally walk on uneven terrain at construction sites, etc
