Senior Manager Accounts Receivable
Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounts Receivable who will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the company’s entire revenue cycle. This role involves managing a team and ensuring the efficient processing of revenue transactions while maintaining strong internal controls and customer service standards.

Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including billing, cash application, collections, and project set-up
Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management for direct reports: Collections Manager, Cash Application Supervisor, Billing Supervisor, and Project Set-Up Analyst
Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and process improvements to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, cash application, and collections across all entities and business units
Monitor and optimize KPIs related to days sales outstanding (DSO), unapplied cash, aging, and dispute resolution
Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes, enhance automation, and leverage ERP and other systems (e.g., Deltek Vision, BlackLine CASH)
Establish and maintain clear internal controls across the AR function, including segregation of duties and approval workflows
Collaborate with Treasury and Accounting teams to resolve complex payment and customer disputes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Projects, FP&A, IT)
Provide executive-level reporting and analysis on AR performance, trends, and cash flow impact
Review aging reports, collections metrics, and unapplied cash to guide business decisions
Support forecasting and strategic planning related to working capital management
Serve as primary liaison between AR, Treasury, Project Accounting, and client-facing teams
Support internal and external audits and respond to inquiries from business units or clients
Partner with leadership on revenue cycle strategy, policy updates, and system enhancements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
10+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, or revenue cycle management
Proven leadership experience managing multiple AR teams or supervisors
Strong understanding of ERP systems (Deltek Vision preferred) and AR automation tools (BlackLine CASH and ARM preferred)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and drive change
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer service and business partnership
Preferred
CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred but not required
