Responsibilities
Accession and prepare pathology specimens for processing
Perform staining, coverslipping, and assist with frozen sections
Support cytology preparations, including liquid-based PAPs
Maintain lab equipment and perform quality control checks
Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage/disposal of specimens
Assist pathologists and pathology assistants as needed
Qualification
Required
High School diploma required
Minimum 12 science credit hours required
Knowledge of medical terminology and lab safety practices
Preferred
Associate degree in science preferred
One year experience in histology or cytology preparation preferred
