Senior Mission Management Specialist, SLD 45/RM

Responsibilities
Lead mission project management efforts, providing technical guidance and support to ensure projects meet cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives
Ensure compliance and alignment with policy, procedures, and risk management frameworks while fostering innovative solutions in secure mission systems
Define project requirements, develop statements of work, government cost estimates, and work with program management and contracting, including evaluating vendor proposals
Coordinate and assess operational requirements against existing capabilities, identifying gaps and opportunities for modernization
Establish goals and objectives to deliver operational capabilities on time and within scope
Conduct research, analysis, and special studies to identify emerging technologies, industry trends and future advancements that influence the evolution of the national launch and test ranges
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
This position requires IAM certification level 3
Proven experience in project management within a technology-driven environment leading Agile/DevSecOps project, service, and capability delivery
Experience with cybersecurity principles and practices to ensure secure, compliant, resilient systems through management framework such as NIST
Familiarity with information technology systems and their security implications
Mastery of advanced principles and practices and knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems, maintenance and program management
Comprehensive knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems process, maintenance and integrated life cycle management
Applies mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques that require frequent modification to fit a wide range of variables
Ability to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of functions and personnel in support of the process
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy
High degree of skill and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing sufficient to interact with AF, DoD headquarters components, NASA, contractors, and other government and private-sector agencies
Preferred
Experience working with government contracts and acquisition processes is preferred
Familiarity with cyber security methods, NIST, and Risk Management Framework
Familiarity with agile project management and DevSecOps is highly desired
