Gathering, reviewing, and approving internal billing claims

Setup, verification and updating insurance account information

Verifying eligibility

Preparing related billing claims data reports

Coordinates Medical billing claims submission via electronic data interface (EDI)

Functions as liaison with LA County- Dept. of Mental Health (LAC-DMH) and Medi-Cal

Tracks and monitors billing claims and approval

Provides monthly report analysis to Department Director

Assists in preparation for year-end final reports

Coordinating activities related to Electronic Health care (HER) application including user training, maintenance, application enhancement, develops new reports, and problem solving

Functions as liaison with software vendor and lead trainer

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related filed

Experience with Electronic Health Record (HER) systems

Working knowledge of Medi-Cal and/or third-party billing and reimbursement

Knowledge of billing requirements and collection regulations for Federal, State, and local agencies and third-party submissions
