InfoDefense is a turn-key cyber security solutions provider looking for a Firewall Engineer to join their team. The role involves configuring firewalls, designing enterprise networks, and responding to security events in a dynamic environment.

Assist with configuring firewalls
Designing enterprise networks
Building automation tooling
Monitoring and responding to security events
Developing secure infrastructure
Part of a rotating on-call schedule to address service outages and security incidents

Required

Proficient in networking and firewalls, especially in relation to routing, switching, and network security
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Desire and ability to learn quickly
Great attitude and good work ethic
At least two years of information technology experience
Firewall configuration
Network Administration & Troubleshooting
Proficient in dynamic routing concepts such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc
Proficient in advanced network configurations such as SDWAN, FHRPs, HA, fully-connected networks, etc
Experience designing IPSec S2S and Dialup tunnels
Skilled at building robust NGFW security profiles (WAF, application control, DNS filtering, etc.) and policies/rules
Degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred

Knowledge of one or more scripting languages Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, etc
Experience managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and networks
Fundamental understanding of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0, or any other regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, etc)
Certifications (CISSP, Security +, CEH, CISA, CISM, Fortinet NSE4, Microsoft) and any other cyber security related certification
Military service is a plus
Knowledge of Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiOS) is a big plus
Kubernetes experience is a big plus
