Sentinel AVE Chief Engineer- Director 2 - R10215636
Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and is seeking a Director 2 – AVE Chief Engineer to oversee the technical team responsible for the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment of the Sentinel Weapon System. This role involves managing technical functions, developing strategic roadmaps, and ensuring effective coordination across projects.

Responsibilities
Oversight of all major technical functions developing the LGM-35A missile and related elements of the Sentinel Weapon System. This includes responsibility for technical performance and long-range planning, and providing technical direction and leadership to the AVE Segment and its sub-IPTs
Develops the program’s technical roadmap for the AVE Segment and identifies technical growth opportunities ensuring that tools, processes, and training support the Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) for the program
Interprets technical requirements for existing and future product development, and ensures drives technical coordination/integration across projects from requirements definition, delivery, test, through product support
Principal technical interface with the customer for the AVE team
Manages technical baseline for the AVE segment
Works collaboratively and with influence to gain commitment and performance from multiple organizations including suppliers, the Segment and Program customers, Business Operations and Contracts, System Design, Integration, and Test as needed to drive required business outcomes
Driving a strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient manner
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 10 years experience or 8 years experience with a Master's degree
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years or in continues evaluation
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance
Minimum 5 years of experience directing multi-function engineering teams to achieve a common goal, including planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for large system development
Development experience and expert knowledge of flight systems and architectures
ICBM or complex aerospace systems development experience using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Preferred
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Leadership experience in the development and certification of Integrated Functional Capabilities on a major development program
Demonstrated ability to establish budget and schedules aligned to performance standards on an ACAT 1 program
Extensive experience in missile design, integration, and test
Experience developing flight, and/or safety critical software and performing hardware/software integration
