Robotics Engineering Intern
Bridge Appliances is a fast-growing robotics startup focused on building automated cooking systems for commercial kitchens. As a Robotics Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with senior engineers to design and prototype innovative robotic appliances.

Responsibilities
Work directly with our engineering team across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines to help design, prototype, scale production, and refine the next generation of our automated cooking platform
Bridge mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to build complete robotic systems
Collaborate closely across disciplines and contribute to real hardware and systems
Qualification
Required
Motivated engineering student
Experience in at least one of the core areas of robotics — mechanical, electrical, or software
Mechanical design (CAD, prototyping, testing, tolerance/fit considerations)
SolidWorks including part modeling, assemblies, and drawing updates
Electronics or electro-mechanical systems
Experience using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar boards for quick robotics prototypes
Embedded programming (C/C++), scripting (Python), or general hardware/software integration
Linux-based development (embedded Linux, system tools, scripting, debugging)
Software development with JavaScript, Node.js, or similar
Controls, sensors, motion systems, or mechatronics
Cloud-connected tooling (REST APIs, AWS IoT, MQTT, etc.)
Hands-on prototyping (3D printing, machining, assembly, wiring, testing)
Bringing academic, hobby, or competition projects from concept to working prototype
Background in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or similar majors
Reliable transportation
Preferred
Experience with machining (mill, lathe, CNC)
Experience with robotics systems, vision systems, or automation
Experience with manufacturing processes, DFM, and working with vendors
Experience with AWS IoT or embedded Linux packaging
Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary engineering projects
A strong portfolio of hardware or software projects
