Responsibilities
Review, modify, negotiate, and finalize legal agreements related to Katapult Pro (e.g. SaaS agreements), engineering services (e.g. MSAs), and other agreements as needed
Manage and update legal compliance protocols, with a specific focus on intellectual property protection and data privacy regulations
Draft new agreements and templates to support emerging business models and new product launches
Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills with clients and business stakeholders
Prioritize incoming legal issues and effectively escalate critical problems to senior management
Streamline and update internal legal processes and document management systems
Serve as the primary internal resource for communicating legal concepts clearly to non-legal business, software, and engineering teams
Qualification
Required

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing license to practice law in Pennsylvania
Minimum of 5 years of post-J.D. experience practicing commercial law, preferably focusing on technology transactions, software licensing, and/or intellectual property
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely with non-lawyers
Preferred
Prior in-house counsel experience is highly preferred
