The Strategic Sourcing Intern will support the Global Supply Chain commodity team by driving continuous improvement and managing supply chain risk, cost savings analysis, capacity management, and contract management.

Responsibilities
Supply Chain Risk Management – evaluate all materials in commodity portfolio, reclassify risk based on current industry environment, ensure transfer time and lead time accuracy
Cost Savings Analysis – lead cost savings analysis on current projects as well as candidate projects (update forecast, unit pricing, align with cross functional teams on probability of project success)
Capacity Management – review demand and supply capacity to ensure we have adequate capacity to support future growth
Contract Management – review contracts by commodity and summarize rebate terms. Analysis supplier spend to suggest cost savings opportunities for future negotiations (stale pricing, accurate volume tiers)
Qualification
Required
Proficiency with Excel/MS Office. Demonstrated experience in quick learning new software tools
Demonstrates concern for precision and thoroughness
Strong communication/interpersonal skills and results oriented
Current enrollment in a Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related degree-seeking program at the Bachelor's level
Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program after the internship
Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June
Preferred
SAP, Tableau experience preferred
