Health Information Discharge Analyst I

Responsibilities
Analyzes inpatient records in accordance with hospital guidelines to ensure that required documentation is completed
Identifies deficiencies in electronic medical record
Updates and enters deficiencies into computerized Deficiency Tracking system
Generates reports
Identifies, tracks and communicates with physicians to secure documents needed for chart completion according to state and federal regulations
Reviews and completes daily follow-up, declined deficiencies, done deficiencies, deficiency verification, and final analysis
Processes and forwards all loose filing for scanning
Assists medical reports in the completion of needed documentation for release of information
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Minimum of 1 year-Related work experience
