PLACEMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Responsibilities

You will coordinate with the supporting commands and OCHR Service Center on requests for candidate nominations
You will receive, track, and follow-up on nominations for supported commands to ensure timely action and execution
You will initiate electronic correspondence to command POCs identifying tentative and confirmed job offers in addition to status of nominations within the pipeline
You will be responsible for accurately inputting data into several Excel spreadsheets/data bases leveraging analytical ability, judgment, and discretion
You will track and monitor the command hiring plans by job series, location, and grade level to ensure adherence with allocation controls
You will provide general support and assistance to commands in areas such as potential hiring strategies (i.e. Direct Hiring Authority for Certain Acquisition Personnel, Direct Hiring Authority for Recent Graduates, Schedule A, salary, benefits)

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to collect, organize, multi-task, review, generate reports and other documents
Ability to use office automation to produce correspondence, reports, presentations or other requested items in support of the program
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Practical knowledge and specialized work in leveraging a wide range of technical methods, principles, and practices for analyzing and evaluating the potential of a requested recruitment for the NADP
NADP unique program structure and processes in order to apply this knowledge in carrying out program area assignments, operations, and procedures as well as the skill in applying this knowledge to such assignments
Ability to assist on assigned management studies and surveys related to the program
Knowledge using HR tools such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and USAStaffing (USAS) Onboarding to process personnel transactions
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement
master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education
