Sales Engineer
Hymson is a leading provider of laser and automation equipment solutions, seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join their team. The role involves driving sales for Hymson’s Novolas product portfolio, managing complex capital equipment sales cycles, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the full customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Drive disproportionate support and engagement with Hymson Top Customers, managing complex capital equipment sales cycles with long lead times
Increase market share of Hymson’s Novolas Products within the assigned territory through disciplined opportunity management and strategic account planning
Expand Hymson’s presence in key target industries, including Automotive, Medical, and Electronics
Own the full customer lifecycle, including pre-sales activities, order acquisition, internal coordination during project execution, and post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development
Develop a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, customer landscape, and competitive environment; create and execute strategic action plans to achieve growth beyond market trends
Respond promptly to technical and commercial customer inquiries, including troubleshooting coordination, training alignment, quotation preparation, equipment recommendations, and product demonstrations
Proactively engage with existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships, and support long-term account growth
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM data, including opportunities, forecasts, orders, and customer activities, ensuring data integrity and transparency
Prepare and deliver structured regional reports, including monthly sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, key account updates, annual sales plans, and strategic initiatives
Ensure all customer-related documentation (quotes, purchase orders, forecasts, internal approval forms, and related records) is complete, accurate, timely, and compliant with company processes
Utilize all company sales tools (sales presentations, demo equipment, roadshows, trade shows) to support business development and opportunity conversion
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including HQ Engineering, Service, Customer Project Management, Shipping/Logistics, and Customer Service, to ensure effective project execution and best-in-class customer experience
Partner with Marketing—including MarComm and Product Line Managers—to support lead generation, product positioning, pricing discussions, and trade show activities
Travel throughout the assigned territory to visit customers and build long-term partnerships, positioning Hymson Novolas as their preferred manufacturing and laser-equipment expert
Demonstrate strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and methodical follow-through in a developing organizational environment that requires hands-on administrative involvement
Provide training and onboarding assistance to new sales personnel and contribute to the development of sales training materials or protocols
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred) from an accredited institution
Minimum 3 years of sales experience in process equipment, laser systems, or related capital equipment industries, with exposure to long sales cycles and project-based deliveries
Demonstrated track record of managing complex B2B capital equipment sales from opportunity identification through order completion
Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage long-term, multi-stakeholder customer relationships
High level of organizational discipline and attention to detail, with comfort in hands-on administrative and process-oriented work
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, service, logistics, and headquarters-based teams
Strong proficiency in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and structured reporting
Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory (approximately 50%)
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
Strong technical aptitude; electrical and mechanical background is a plus
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently while consistently adhering to defined processes and procedures
Preferred
B2B sales experience strongly preferred
Business Spanish proficiency is an advantage
Experience in plastics processing and/or laser processing is an advantage
